Foobar is a Lemmings-inspired sidescroller where you have to escort office employees to safety amidst a zombie infestation. We made the game in 2 days for an "out of control" themed game jam.

 

My roles on the project were gameplay and level design, and I also made all the music and sound effects. The game was made in Unity which streamlined implementation and playtesting while working remotely.

The core challenges on the project other than coming up with the initial concept was creating a proper balance of chaos and playability. I intentionally designed the spawn timings of allies and enemies to happen continuously and seemingly at random, but kept certain details more player-facing like clear warnings and consistent positions for enemy spawns.
